About Le Pavé

Restaurant Le Pavé has been located on the southern side of the cozy Gråbrødre Torv for over two decades. The restaurant has many regulars who come here for the honest, hearty French-inspired food served in generous portions.

The a la carte menu includes dishes such as steamed mussels, foie gras terrine, tournedos rossini and créme brûlee. There are also a couple of set menus that change every month. The lunch menu also offers French classics, as well as Danish smørrebrød, pasta, sandwiches and a couple of lunch menus. The price level is quite reasonable, also on the wine list.

The wines come from all over the world, but mainly from Europe, and Le Pavé often buys large batches of quality wines that are sold as wine of the month at favorable prices, also by the glass. The restaurant is divided into two sections, both of which have been restored with respect for the details of the listed building, leaving the old, raw brick walls and ceiling beams exposed.

The atmosphere is romantic and relaxed, and the owner himself is on the floor to make sure guests are well taken care of. On warm days you can sit outside on the cobbled square and the restaurant, which is divided into several sections, can accommodate small and large parties.
